We have many woods that are available for our clocks. The list below is what woods we have in stock.
Any wood can be stained or have a clear or colored finish. We will make a sample wood piece for every
custom clock ordered for your approval. Some of the darker stains are not available for all woods.

Alder - Fine textured light weight hardwood. Grain pattern is similar to Birch, Cherry and soft Maple. Color is light reddish brown.
Ash - Open grained hardwood. Color beige to light brown sapwood with light brown hardwood.
Birch - Close grained with even texture moderately heavy hardwood. The color of the heartwood is cream or light brown with yellowish white sapwood.
Cherry - Fine grained moderately heavy hardwood. Color is reddish-brown heartwood with yellowish sapwood.
Knotty Pine - Lightweight with straight grain and fine. Color is light tan heartwood with an almost orange cast with white sapwood.
Mahogany - Moderate density. Color is medium reddish-brown.
Maple - Very fine textured very hard. Color is very light brown or tan heartwood with white or off-white sapwood.
White Oak - Open grained moderately heavy hardwood. Color is light tan or brown heartwood.
Red Oak - Open grained moderately heavy hardwood. Color is light reddish or reddish-brown heartwood.
Pecan / Hickory - Fine grained moderately heavy hardwood. Color is light to dark reddish brown heartwood with white sapwood.
Walnut - Fine grained moderately heavy hardwood. Color is dark chocolate brown, sometimes with a purplish cast with nearly white sapwood.
